[Outside of Orbonne Monostary. It is raining hard upon the dank scene, where Ramza and Gafgarion's men stand in conversation, Ramza facing Gafgarion. Lightning flickers frequently, giving the scene a foreboding sense of tension. (The last incedent that happened was the capturing of Princess Ovelia by the one known as "Delita". The first chapter was flashback, and now Chapter Two carries on from the beginning.) Begin scene...]
Gafgarion: So, Ramza. You know who kidnapped her?
Ramza: ..........
[The front door of the Monostary bursts upon and Lady Agrias comes running out, and stops before Ramza and Gafgarion, as everyone switches their attention to her.]
Agrias: He's taking Princess Ovelia with him. Can't be that far.
Gafgarion: Are you going after him?
Agrias: Of course! I couldn't face the royal family unless I do!
Gafgarion: We won't help you. It's not in the contract!
Agrias: We don't need help from one who's not even a knight! A knight must fix his own mistakes. This is one of our responsibilities as guards! Lavian, Alicia, let's go!
[A priest walks out from within the monostary. Agrias steps aside.]
Agrias: Are you all right, Milord?
Simon: The Princess ... how is she?
[Agrias closes her eyes and shakes her head.]
Agrias: I'm very sorry. I swear I'll get her back!
[The old priest steps closer toward Agrias.]
Simon: .....No. You'd be in danger...
Agrias: Don't worry. I swear on my knight's honor I'll save her!
[While hearing their conversation, Ramza thinks that he may be of some help, and acts upon his instincts. He steps toward Agrias.]
Ramza: I'll go, too! I won't be a burden!
Gafgarion: Are you crazy?! This's none of our business!
[Ramza turns to face Gafgarion.]
Ramza: I have to know! I must see it with my own eyes!
[Ramza turns away to stare into the darkness.]
Gafgarion: You mean, that boy you saw?
[At the mention of that, Ramza hangs his head for a brief moment, then raises it back up. Gafgarion moves away from the crowd.]
Gafgarion: You're stubborn as a mule. Don't cry to me for help if something happens!
[Camera pans up to reveal the chapter title... End of scene...]

CHAPTER 2: The Manipulator and the Subservient

[In Dorter Trade City, a thief-infested town. Houses line the scene, forming an uphill alley of some sorts. A mysterious knight confronts a thief, or vice-versa, at the top of the hill, making a secret deal with him. The scene seems suspicious... Begin scene...]
Knight: How about 500 gil per head?
[The thief turns away, crosses his arms, then looks back at the knight.]
Mercenary: Way too low. 2000. It's 2000 gil a head.
Knight: It would be easy to make all of you heretics, you know.
[The thief turns his body back around.]
Mercenary: Is that a threat? ...How about 1000 gil?
[The Knight shakes his head.]
Knight: 700. No more.
[Turning away once more, the thief thinks a second, then shakes his head reluctantly.]
Mercenary: OK. Done deal.
Knight: They'll be here any minute. Kill all of them. Understand?
[At the mention of that, Ramza and party come into the city at the bottom of the hill. The thief turns his glance down the hill, then looks back at the Knight.]
Knight: Ha, speak of the devil..... There they are. Get them!
[The knight leaves the scene quietly as the thief turns around. Much to his amaze, Gafgarion is with Ramza's unit. The thief gasps out loud, and throws his hat to the ground forcefully, giving off a gleeming, shocked expression.]
Mercenary: That's Gafgarion! Damn! 700 was too cheap!
[The thief whistles, and his buddies come out of hiding to back him up in the upcoming skirmish. The camera pans down to Ramza's unit.]
Gafgarion: Ambush? Going all out, huh?
Agrias: If you don't like it, you can leave!
Gafgarion: I usually don't do freebies, but I'll make an exception!
Agrias: You patronizing...
[Begin battle...]
[After defeating the enemies...]
Agrias: There's no time to waste. We must hurry and rescue the Princess!
Gafgarion: Where are we going? Do you know where they went?
[Agrias turns to face Gafgarion.]
Agrias: There is only one place they could've escaped to! Impregnable fortress... Bethla Garrison.
Ramza: Bethla Garrison...
[End of scene...]

[Araguay Woods. A barren forest filled with rocky, uneven landscapes, and bare trees that stretch endlessly into the canopy above. A team of Goblins have surrounded a poor, defenseless Chocobo that will surely become their next meal. However, as Ramza and party are making their way through this forest to Bethla Garrison, they stumble upon the group of Goblins. Begin scene...]
Black Goblin: Gob, gob! Gobgobgob!!
[The goblin group moves in closer to the chocobo, while the Chocobo backs away in fear.]
Chocobo: W-Wark!!
[Ramza and party enter the scene from the back. One of the goblins turn around to alert the others.]
Goblin: Gob, gobu--!!
[All the other goblins and the Chocobo swiftly switch theirself upon the arriving team of Ramza's.]
Agrias: A Chocobo? In this place?
Gafgarion: Must be pretty stupid to wander into Goblin's Forest!
Ramza: Delita said that wild Chocobos are stronger than tame ones. I wonder if he's strong in a fight?
Gafgarion: You want to help him, Ramza? No money in that!
Agrias: He may help us save the Princess...
[Begin battle...]
[After battle...]
Chocobo: W-Wark!!
Ramza: You seem alright.
Gafgarion: You're lucky. You ought to thank Ramza.
[End of scene...]

[Zirekile Falls. A flowing waterfall that shines majestically in the sun. The mood and atmosphere of the scene is obviously fervid. Standing on a lone, wooden bridge is a man dressed in gold armor (Delita Hyral), protecting the princess, Ovelia Knights have the man surrounded, and are shouting at him over the roar of the falls. Begin scene...]
Hokuten Knight: It's over! Surrender! Turn the Princess over to us and we'll spare your life!
Delita: That's a bald faced lie! You want to kill her! Then after that you'll kill me for knowing the truth!
Hokuten Knight: Ridiculous! We came to help the Princess! Why would we want to kill her? We can't let Goltana keep her!
[The Princess steps away from Delita a little ways, then everyone turns to meet the intrusion of Ramza's party onto the scene.]
Agrias: Princess Ovelia!!
Ovelia: Agrias!!
[For a split second, Delita gazed at Ramza's party, then back at the Knight he was arguing with earlier, still holding the same protective stance from before.]
Hokuten Knight: Great, here comes a crowd! Gafgarion! Kill them!! And do it now!!
[Ovelia turns toward the knight, while the camera zooms around to Gafgarion.]
Gafgarion: Don't know what's gong on, but it's in the contract!
[Everyone faces Gafgarion.]
Agrias: Gafgarion, are you betraying us?
Gafgarion: Betraying you? C'mon, this is business. Our job is to kidnap the Princess 'unharmed'. The job is also to kill you all and keep things quiet!
Agrias: What are you getting at? This kidnapping's a sham?
Gafgarion: The Princess is in the way! The Prince should be next in line. If she's alive there'll be nothing but trouble!
[Delita backs up closer to the Princess.]
Delita: Since you're going to die, I'll let you help me... If the Princess's kidnapped and killed by Goltana, they'll be rid of her and his rivals. I'm sure that's how Prince Larg wrote the scenario. No, Dycedarg probably wrote it. Don't you agree, Ramza?
Gafgarion: Right, Ramza. Let's get them all!
Ramza: Another helpless sacrifice... No more! There must not be any more victims like Teta!!
[Battle ensues...]
[During first of battle...]
Ramza: Delita! You're alive!
Delita: Imagine meeting you here! Are your brothers still running your life?
Ramza: Who knows? They never tell me anything! But uh, Delita, are you party to their plot?
Delita: Don't be foolish! I'm here to save the Princess! To free her from those who are exploiting her!
Gafgarion: Don't lie to me! You were hired too, weren't you? You were hired to kidnap her for money! Don't play dumb!!
Delita: No, I'm not like you. It's not for the money!
Gafgarion: Then, who's getting in my way? A kid who heard the plan, and decided to save her for justice!? Who hired you? Who told you about the plan? Talk!
Delita: None of your business!
[Battle reissues...] [A short while later... Ovelia turns to Delita during battle...] Ovelia: What are you? Ally or enemy?
Delita: Human, just like you!
[Battle reinstates...]
[Agrias speaks up shortly after Ovelia...]
Agrias: Princess Ovelia! We'll save you!!
Gafgarion: I don't think so!
Agrias: Are you sure of what you're doing? The Princess may be adopted but she's still royalty.
Gafgarion: I'm quite sure! Even Princesses can die for getting in the way! That's what 'royal blood' is about!
Agrias: Are you mocking the Princess!?
Gafgarion: Get in the way, get killed. It's the same for commoners! The only difference is people like you pledging blind loyalty! Unless you make it to the top you're only gonna be used so you're better off dead!
Agrias: Then, I'll save her!!
[Battle starts up once again...]
[Ramza speaks up at Gafgarion...]
Ramza: Did you know about this!? Why such a dirty trick!?
Gafgarion: Dirty!? There is no 'dirty' when it comes to money! I'm a mercenary. I have to finish the jobs I take. That's called being a pro!
Ramza: Why didn't you tell me? Why?
Gafgarion: If I'd told you, would you have stopped me? If I don't do this, someone else will! Get it? people die all the time without you knowing about it! That's reality! You think you can stop something you know nothing about?
Ramza: But..... but does that make it right?
Gafgarion: No 'buts'! You're just a child who doesn't want to face reality! If you don't like it, try living without depending on someone else for a change! But don't come complaining to me if you can't!
[Battle reissues...]
[After a long fought battle...]
Gafgarion: Dammit! [Gafgarion teleport out of the scene... End of scene...]

[Zirekile falls, after the battle, on the wooden bridge...]
Delita: Leave the Princess with me. It's better for her.
[Agrias steps before the Princess, and moves her back out of the way, as if signifying that the Princess isn't going anywhere.]
Ramza: Delita, what're you scheming?
[Delita shrugs.]
Delita: Scheming? Don't be foolish. I'm telling the truth. Think about it. Where would you take her after making an enemy of Hokuten? Crack Hokuten troops will come here looking for you any time now. Just where the hell do you plan on escaping to?
Ramza: W, well, I...
Delita: Think carefully. The Princess knows this was Prince Larg's plan. The royal family is not on your side. So what about Goltana? No, he'd execute you just to clear himself.
Agrias: What would you do?
Delita: I'd do what you can't do.
Ramza: What do you mean?
Delita: I can't tell you...
[Delita turns away from Agrias, Ramza, and the Princess.]
Delita: I'll leave the Princess with you a little longer.
[Delita take a step forward, then stops as Ramza speaks.]
Ramza: Delita, I'm glad I could see you again.
[Blinking once and looking skyward, Delita changes the subject a bit.]
Delita: Teta saved me...
[Delita closes his eyes.]
Ramza: What?
[Delita opens them back up and responds.]
Delita: Teta saved me back then...
Ramza: .......
[Delita starts to walk away again, and Ovelia has something to say.]
Ovelia: Thank you, Delita.
Delita: See you again, Ramza.
[Delita walks away from the scene. Agrias looks to the ground.]
Agrais: Ramza, thanks for your support. But are you sure you want to make Hokuten an enemy?
[Ramza turns to meet Agrias' view.]
Ramza: Don't worry. I've already decided. The question is, "now what should we do?" Like Delita said, nobody will help us...
[Ovelia looks over at Agrias]
Agrias: We can ask Cardinal Draclav for help..... Glabados church has jurisdiction over Lionel. They might be able to help.
Ramza: Hokuten has to be careful what they do in Lionel..... Let's go. It's the only place for us.
[End of scene...]

[Zaland Fort City. A young man fervidly runs onto the scene, only to be cornered by a gang of three warriors -- a knight and two wizards. They want something from this blonde-haired man... Begin scene...]
Fencer: You can't escape! Give it to us if you value your life!
[More gang members flood onto the scene from behind.]
Young Man: What do you want? I don't know what you're talking about.
Fencer: Don't play dumb! Mustadio! Don't care about your father? Just give us the 'holy stone' and we'll return him. ...OK guys, get him!
[The wizards move in on him. Mustadio turns and leaps up onto the wall behind him.]
Young Man 'Mustadio': And you can tell Rudvich... If he lays a hand on father he'll never see the stone!
[Ramza and party sneak in behind the wall Mustadio is standing on, wondering what is going on.]
Agrias: An argument? Someone's after that young man...
Ramza: He'll be killed if we don't do something! Let's help!
[Begin fight....]
[After a hard-fought battle to rescue Mustadio... Ramza turns to him...]
Ramza: Are you all right?
Mustadio: Yeah..... I think so. Thanks for helping me.
[End of scene...]

[Inside a basement of sorts. Mustadio, Ramza, and Agrias gather to talk about the incedent earlier. All three stand together in the cold basement. Begin scene...]
Mustadio: They were troublemakers hired by Bart Company.
Agrias: Bart Company? The Importer?
[Mustadio turns his head to Agrias.]
Mustadio: You know them? They're not just traders. They're a criminal syndicate into everything from smuggling and slavery.
Ramza: Why were they after you?
[Mustadio returns his gaze back upon Ramza.]
Mustadio: You know why the call us mechanics?
[Ramza shakes his head.]
Agrias: I hear a 'lost civilization' is hidden under Goug..... When St. Ajora was alive, airships were in the sky, and human robots in town. But time passed, technology was lost, and no one knows if it ever really existed.
[Ramza looks at Agrias, then back at Mustadio.]
Mustadio: But the civilization must have existed. Parts from many airships and machines are buried under Goug. Mechanics are the ones who restore the 'past legacies'.
Ramza: That weird thing you used in the battle, was that one of the machines?
Mustadio: Oh, this?
[Mustadio pulls out a gun.]
Mustadio: This is called a 'gun'. A metal 'bullet' is propelled by gunpowder. This is the most simple one. They say you used to be able to put magic in it and shoot it.
Ramza: Hmm...
[Mustadio puts the gun away swiftly.]
Agrias: Why's Bart Company after you?
[Mustadio returns his stare upon Agrias.]
Mustadio: You said you were going to see the Cardinal. He was a hero of the Fifty Year War. People in Lionel still think of him as a hero. My father, too. The Cardinal is the only one who can unite this country. I know he'd grant your wish. Then the princess would be safe.
Agrias: Yeah, and...?
Mustadio: Can you take me with you? I want to meet the Cardinal.
Agrias: Why?
Mustadio: To save my father! The Cardinal's the only one who can rescue him from Bart! But he wouldn't want to meet some mechanic like myself. So, please. Take me with you!
Agrias: You still haven't told us why they're after you!
[Mustadio hangs his head...]
Mustadio: ...I can't tell you now.
Agrias: Then, we can't take you.
[This time, Mustadio turns his whole body to face Agrias.]
Mustadio: I beg you! Trust me! I must see the Cardinal!
[Suddenly, the door opens, and in steps the princess, Ovelia. All three turn to meet her, and Agrias and Ramza kneel before her, while Mustadio stands.]
Ovelia: All right. You can come with us.
[Mustadio steps forthward enthusiastically.]
Mustadio: Really? Thank you, Highness!
[Agrias turns whilst kneeling, to Mustadio.]
Agrias: Remember! You're in the presence of a princess!
[Moving back to his original position quickly, Mustadio kneels before Ovelia.]
Ovelia: It's all right. Please stand up.
[All stand, and face Mustadio.]
Agrias: All right, then. I trust you.
[End of scene...]

[At a churches ruins. Agrias and Princess Ovelia stand together looking out over the horizon at the now looming Lionel Castle. The sun sags low in the horizon, basking the scene in a golden glow of harmony. Begin scene...]
Agrias: Princess Ovelia, see? Lionel Castle is over the mountain.
Ovelia: It's still far from this fort. I wonder if Cardinal Draclav will really help us?
Agrias: I hear the Cardinal is very loyal to the royal family. And right now, he's neutral in the dispute between Prince Larg and Prince Goltana. I'm sure he wouldn't defeat justice by turning you over to either one of them.
Ovelia: I hope so..........
[Ovelia moves forward to a tree, and starts to pick off it's leafs as Agrias continues to talk...]
Agrias: Besides, he is a man of popularity at Glabados Church. They'll accept you if the Cardinal asks them.
[Ovelia stops what she was doing, as if to pause and think.]
Ovelia: I wish I weren't a princess.
[She drops a solitary leaf...]
Agrias: Princess Ovelia.....
[Ramza walks onto the scene from behind the ruined church. Ovelia continues...]
Ovelia: I was always surrounded by the convent walls ...and have only seen the sky through them. I don't think you know, but I was at another monastery before I went to Orbonne. Even after hearing about the adoption by the deceased king, I stayed there for a long time. No, I'm not complaining about that. Just......... People are dying because I'm the princess. It's so painful.....
[Agrias turns to her, while Ramza stays back, hiding and spying...]
Agrias: Please don't blame yourself. It's not your fault. Those who are trying to take advantage of you are the ones to blame. [Ovelia drops another leaf...]
Ovelia: I met a girl at Orbonne. She said she had also been living in the monastery since birth. We used to laugh at how similar our lives have been. Isn't it funny?
[She pulls another leaf from the thin, green tree...]
Agrias: She was the daughter of the Beoulves, Miss Alma, wasn't she?
Ovelia: She is my only friend..... I wonder if Cardinal Draclav would use me?
Agrias: .......................
[Mustadio shouts from somewhere near...]
Voice of Mustadio: Ramza! Where are you? Shall we go!?
[Mustadio enters the scene from behind; same way Ramza entered...]
Mustadio: What have you been diong here?
[Agrias runs to meet Mustadio.]
Agrias: How was it?
Mustadio: Fine. It doesn't seem like Hokuten has been here yet.
[A strange noise can be heard. Ramza turns toward the princesses general direction, and the princess appears to now be blowing on the leaf she pulled from the tree, trying to make music or a noise with it. Ramza walks up beside her, pulls one off of the tree, and faces her. Agrias follows and watches.]
Ovelia: My friend taught me before, but I can't seem to do it right.
[Ramza blows on his, making a high-pitched shrill.]
Ramza: This is how you do it.
Ovelia: Like this?
[Ovelia makes a low-pitched shrill with hers.]
Ovelia: There! I did it.
[Ramza and Ovelia begin to play as the screen fades... End of scene...]

[Barius Hill. The sun hangs low in the sky, while a gang of Rudvich Mercenaries block the path to Lionel. The hill is oddly shaped, creating a mini-valley on its surrounding sides. Ramza and party show up, and the mercenaries want Mustadio... Begin scene...]
Rudvich Mercenary: I don't know who you are, but leave the boy with us! We don't want to fight! Hand Mustadio over and there won't be any trouble. OK?
Agrias: Why don't you leave quietly! Tell Rudvich we'll fight anyone who tries to use war to sway the people!
Mercenary: Then I guess we must take him by force! Here goes!!
[Begin battling...]
[After battle... Ramza faces Mustadio once again.]
Ramza: Why are they after you? Will you explain?
Mustadio: Sorry... But I can't tell you now.
[End of scene...]

[At Igros, in a dining room. A familiar scene befalls the screen. The manipulative Dycedarg sits at the head-chair at a dining table, opposite of the one who is standing, Gafgarion. Begin scene...]
Dycedarg: Do anything to capture Ovelia. The same goes for Agrias and the others. Kill them!
Gafgarion: What about Ramza?
[Dycedarg pulls himself up, and leisurely walks over to the counter where a bottle of champaigne rests. He pours some into a champaigne glass, and speaks up.]
Dycedarg: He's a disgrace to the name Beoulve, and he's in our way. I left him alone because I thought he'd learn how harsh the real world is. I never thought he was that dense.
Gafgarion: Did his strong sense of justice come from his father?
[Dycedarg sits down the bottle, and faces Gafgarion.]
Dycedarg: My father spoiled him. If he obeys orders, fine. If he resists, we have no choice...
[Dycedarg takes a rather large drink, and sits it back onto the corner, facing the cabinet.]
Gafgarion: It's hard to believe his won brother said that. Sickening.
[Gafgarion pauses for a moment, gathering his thoughts. Dycedarg turns back to face him.]
Gafgarion: But what if the Cardinal gets in our way? With the church supporting him, even the Prince couldn't do anything easily.
Dycedarg: I've already prepared for that. There's no need to worry.
Gafgarion: So that's that? The more I know, the worse you appear.
Dycedarg: If that's how you feel, then you'd best watch your tongue. Don't forget your head can be easily cut off.
Gafgarion: Hey, stop that. I'm your loyal servant. Remember, I'm not stubborn like your little brother.
Dycedarg: Then, don't make any more mistakes.
Gafgarion: Speaking of that, who did you order to kidnap Ovelia? When I was chasing her in Dorter, someone attacked me. What was that about?
[Dycedarg walks briskly to a large window, looking out into the darkness, recalling thoughts. He speaks up.]
Dycedarg: They found the criminals in the monastery woods -- dead. Someone learned of our plan and is trying to stop us... Anyhow, as long as Ovelia is with Agrias, there'll be many chances to get her...
Gafgarion: I hope so.
[End of scene...]

[Lionel Castle Gates. The looming gates of Lionel loom monsterously above the scene, with two knights keeping guard and watch atop it. Ramza and party show up, but will soon find trouble... Begin scene...]
Lionel Castle Knight: Who are you? What do you want?
Agrias: I'm Agrias Oaks of the Lesalia St. Konoe Knights. I came from Orbonne to save the son of God, St. Ajora. Open the gate!
Knight: Saving St.Ajora is the will of the high priest. The gate will open for he who would save the high priest. Open the gate!
[A knight behind the gate pulls a lever to open the huge gate, and Ramza and party walk through to go meet Draclav... End of scene...]

[Inside the room of Draclav. Ramza and party (Ramza, Ovelia, Agrias and Mustadio) stand lined up, side-by-side, speaking with the Cardinal, Draclav, in hopes that he can help them. The room they're in seems to be less than fitting for their meeting place, filled with old wooden crates and the like. A large candleholder sits on the table in front of the part, flickering as if trying to say something with its cryptic tongue. The scene seems awry... Begin scene...]
Draclav: I understand your situation, Agrias. Moreover, I'll send a man to the High Priest in Murond. We'll do something to expose Larg's scheme, and keep the princess from danger.
Agrias: Will High Priest Funeral help us?
Draclav: Don't worry, Agrias. I'm with you. You must be strong to make the princess feel at ease. Make yourselves comfortable in this old castle until word comes from the holy land.
Ovelia: Thank you for your kindness.
Draclav: St. Ajora is with us. There's no need to worry. Young mechanic, I heard your wish, too. I'll send troops to Goug to destroy Bart Company.
[Mustadio gives a half-bow (head bow)]
Mustadio: Thank you.
Draclav: But, would you explain why they're after you two?
[Everyone turns their head to Mustadio, interested to finally hear what it is Bart Company wants from them (Mustadio and his Father).]
Mustadio: I.... can't.....
[Mustadio hangs his head.]
Draclav: That's all right.... Is this it?
[The Cardinal pulls out an smooth, glowing red stone, and sets it upon the table. It shimmers a brief moment...]
Agrias: What is that crystal?
Draclav: Have you ever heard of the 'Zodiac Brave Story'?
Agrias: You mean that fairy tale we used to hear in church?
Draclav: Here now! Are you saying the church lied?
Agrias: N-no, I didn't mean that.....
Ovelia: Long ago, when the land was much different, twelve brave warriors fought against the Evil Lucavi who ruled the land. After a desperate battle, they sent Lucavi to Hades, and the land was peaceful. They each had crystals with zodiac signs on them, and they were called "Zodiac Braves". Ever since then, whenever humans are attacked, the Braves come to save us.
Draclav: You're quite learned, Princess. Just as I expected.
Ovelia: Mr. Simon taught me at the Orbonne monastery. He also said St. Ajora and the Braves saved Ivalice from chaos.
Draclav: We call the crystals, 'Holy Stones'. This very stone is the legendary secret stone, the "Zodiac Stone".
[The crystal shimmers again, and, mysteriously, Mustadio hangs his head again...]
Ovelia: I didn't think it really existed.
Draclav: They say its 'Divine Power' surpasses Lucavi's. I feel a strange power, but it looks just like an ordinary crystal to me.
[Ramza turns to Mustadio, and notices his look...]
Ramza: What's wrong, Mustadio? You look pale.
[Agrias looks over at him too.]
Draclav: You saw the same stone underground Goug?
[Ovelia follows the rest by exchanging their glance's over to Mustadio.]
Mustadio: Many broken machine parts are buried there. But if the stone gets near the machines, they start to howl.
Draclav: Bart Company's after the stone, right?
[Mustadio nods.]
Mustadio: I don't know what power the stone has... But Rudvich wants to use its power to make weapons. My father told me never to give t he stones to him. So they abducted him.
[Mustadio hangs his head some more.]
Draclav: Don't worry, Mustadio. The church will see to his safety. While our men fight, we'll get the stone back.
Mustadio: Y, yes, sir.
[Ramza faces Mustadio.]
Ramza: I'll go to Goug with you.
Mustadio: Thank you, Ramza.
[Ramza turns to meet Ovelia and Agrias. Agrias moves beside the Princess.]
Agrias: We made it this far thanks to you, Ramza.
Ovelia: I wish I could've been more help. Please be careful.
Ramza: That's very thoughful. Don't worry. We'll be fine.
[End of scene...]

[Zigolis Swamp. Death runs thick in these murky, foggy swamps. Undead creatures' howls can be heard throughout - the call of the dead. Random assortments of land jut out from the poisonous, oozy swampwater, along with macabre branches that twist wickedly in all directions. It is raining heavily as Ramza and party make it to this leg of their journey to Goug. Skeleton and Ghostly enemies await them... searching for their next meals - the party's souls!. Begin scene...]
Ramza: What rotten luck..... Fighting monsters in a swamp.
Mustadio: Lousy footing. On top of that it's raining. Be careful!
[Battle insues....]
[After battle....]
Ramza: Are you all right, Mustadio?
Mustadio: Yeah, I'm all right. Past this swamp's the ocean. We are almost to Goug.
[End of scene...]

[Goug Machine City. The sun is about to set, basking the town in a lazy orange. The town is bustling with some activity as usual. People talk and laugh, people converse, and a guy tends to his chocobo - those are just a few things. Mustadio and Ramza walk into town, and stop on the bridgeway. There appears to be no apparent danger. Begin scene...]
Mustadio: I don't see anyone from Bart Company. It doesn't even look like there was a fight... Something's strange...
[Mustadio turns around to Ramza.]
Mustadio: I'll check it out. See you later.
Ramza: Where?
[Turning 90 degrees to his left, Mustadio points at another section of the town. Ramza follows his gaze.]
Mustadio: The slums over there... they shouldn't attract attention.
[Both face one another again.]
Ramza: All right. Be careful.
Mustadio: Right. Leave it to me.
[Mustadio turns and walks casually into the town... End of scene.]

[Slums of Goug, at night. Old run-down buildings infest these parts, along with fallen structures and rotten wood. A few lights shine in a few somewhat vacant houses. Later that day, Ramza returns to the rendezvous point, only to wait awhile and find out that Mustadio hasn't shown up, or isn't going to show up. Ramza walks around searching, only to find himself in a bad situation. Begin scene...]
Ramza: He's late... Too late.
[Rain begins to patter down, driving its nails into the uneven grounds of the slums. Ramza extends a hand to catch some water, while thinking about the situation.]
Ramza: Think Mustadio was caught?
[Lightning flickers briefly, and Ramza lowers his hand. Suddenly, a voice arises from behind him.]
Man's Voice: Are you his friend?
[Quicky, Ramza shoots his head and body 180 degrees to find out who had said that.]
Ramza: Who are you!?
[An old man, and some female archers enter the scene. The old man is standing atop a roof.]
Ill-looking Man: Bring him!
[A thief brings out Mustadio, who was captured by the ill-man. The thief pushes Mustadio forward, bringing him to one knee.]
Mustadio: S... Sorry, Ramza.
Ramza: Are you OK, Mustadio!!?
[Ramza moves in closer, but stops abruptly.]
Man: That's far enough. Don't move any closer!
Ramza: So, you're Rudvich!! Let Mustadio go!!
Rudvich: Give me the "Holy Stone". Then you can have him back.
[Rudvich turns to Mustadio, who is below him on the second level of the shack.]
Rudvich: C'mon! Where'd you hide it? Talk!
Mustadio: ...
Rudvich: Won't talk, huh? Even after seeing this?
[Rudvich glances over, and another thief brings out another person, his arms bound at the back. The Thief pushes the man to the soaken earth.]
Mustadio: Father! Are you OK!?
Besrodio: I'm... all right... Don't give him the 'Holy Stone'.
Rudvich: Put him in there!
[The theif pushes Besrodio into the shack, through a white curtain covering the entrance.]
Rudvich: Ready to confess now?
[Mustadio glances sadly down, then back up at Rudvich, then to the ground, closing his eyes...]
Mustadio: Inside the chimney... at Ramza's feet...
[Turning to Ramza, Rudvich yells to him.]
Rudvich: Well then, you pick it up! If you want to save his life!
[Ramza pauses for a moment, then does as he is ordered. He walks down the ruined building, and onto the roof of a shack, reaching his hand inside the chimney and pulling at a shiny stone. It glimmers once...]
Ramza: This...?
[Ramza follows the same path he went down, and stands in the same place he left a moment ago.]
Ramza: Let them go!!
Rudvich: First give me the stone!
Ramza: Let them go first!!
Rudvich: Throw the stone! Then, we'll let them go!
[Ramza willingly throws the stone to Rudvich, and he makes a successful snag. Mustadio then dashes off towards Ramza safely. Now, for Besrodio... Rudvich hold up the stone, and it gleams once more...]
Rudvich: The Zodiac Stone! Finally we've to it! The Cardinal will be very pleased!
[He turns around.]
Rudvich: Good job. I'm done now. You take care of the rest. Get rid of them!
[Rudvich leaves the scene with the stone. At the same time, Ramza's party comes in to back him, and Rudvich's henchman come in also to back him. This doesn't look good...]
Ramza: Draclav was in on it, too?
[Battle initiation now...]
[After battle...]
Mustadio: Will my father be alright?
[End of scene...]

[Slums of Goug, inside of the ran-down shack. Mustadio and his father, Besrodio, are united once again. Besrodio lies hunched over on the floor, and Mustadio kneels before him, while Ramza stands back. Begin scene...]
Mustadio: Are you alright, father?
Besrodio: Don't worry about me..... They got the stone. Rudvich'll try to revive the machines beneath Goug with its power. He may even try to use the divine power in the stones. Besides, the Cardinal is working with Bart Company. Not much we can do now...
Mustadio: Heh, heh... Good for them.
[Mustadio stands, turns around, and walks back a little ways... with a sly grin on his face. Besrodio looks up at him, and blinks a couple of times in succession.]
Besrodio: What do you mean?
[Mustadio smiles some more, then turns around to his father. He reaches into his pocket, and pulls out a stone, which sparkles like all of the others one time.]
Mustadio: I made a fake one in case something like this happened.
[Ramza dashes to Mustadio's side as he is putting away the stone.]
Ramza: You mean, they got a fake?
[Mustadio turns.]
Mustadio: That's right. They must be going crazy now.
[All of a sudden, Ramza realizes something...]
Ramza: Princess Ovelia and Agrias are in danger...!
Mustadio: What do you mean?
Ramza: The Cardinal joined Bart to get the stone. He may take the Princess hostage.
Mustadio: Ridiculous! Making an enemy of the royal family!?
Ramza: Why do you think the Cardinal wanted the stone? People are sick of long wars and political infighting. Draclav wants to use the 'Zodiac Brave Story'. Creating 'Zodiac Braves' by collecting the holy stones, he can control the world.
[Both turn their glances to Besrodio, who speaks up at what Ramza is saying.]
Besrodio: He is right. We can't give the stone to the Cardinal.
[Mustadio turns back to Ramza.]
Ramza: Let's save the Princess and Agrias!
Mustadio: Right. But the way to Lionel is probably sealed. We'll use a ship to sneak in the back of the castle.
[End of scene...]

[Warjilis Trade City. The scene starts out in the port area of the town. Ramza walks out of the passenger compartment of the ship they used to get here, and looks around. A few people are going about their business, but nothing unusual seems to be going on. Begin scene...]
Ramza: There aren't any Lionel troops in Warjilis.....
[Ramza makes his way to the exit. A woman and her chocobo leave, and Ramza steps onto dry land, and stops...]
Ramza: Delita! Why are you here!?
[Delita Hyral walks onto the scene, in shining gold armor. He walks up to Ramza briskly.]
Delita: Don't take our information network too lightly.
Ramza: 'Our'?
Delita: Go back to Igros, of your own sake. It's healthier to keep your nose out of certain things. Like princesses and stones.
Ramza: Delita, what do you mean?
[Delita begins to turn away, but stops half way...]
Delita: Rescuing the Princess only solves one problem. But I can save her from all of them.
Ramza: What do you mean? I don't understand.
[Delita turns around fully as if to leave, yet, he doesn't.]
Delita: The best ways don't always lead to the best results. You can't save her no matter what. Remember that.
[Delita begins to walk away, but stops at Ramza's call.]
Ramza: Wait, Delita.
[Delita turns to face Ramza and hear him out.]
Ramza: What are you trying to do?
Delita: Larg, Goltana, your brothers, everyone... Haven't you noticed they're all swept up in the same flow. I'm just going against it. That's all.....
[Delita turns back, closes his eyes for a moment, then speaks.]
Delita: I'll see you again, if we live that long.
[At that, Delita leaves...]
Ramza: Delita...

[Back at the Cardinal's place. Draclav (the Cardinal), Gafgarion, and Rudvich are present in the room. Draclav sits at his head chair, while Gafgarion stands at the front, and Rudvich to the side. Something's definitely up... Begin scene...]
Gafgarion: You're using the princess as bait to get the stone back? That's not something a holyman would do.
[Rudvich glares over at Gafgarion.]
Rudvich: Bastard! Things would've been fine if you hadn't let them escape!
[Gafgarion glares back at him.]
Gafgarion: There were some mistakes, but it wasn't my fault!
[Both turn to face Draclav as he speaks up.]
Draclav: Enough, Rudvich. I'll return Ovelia to Dycedarg as promised. It was our intention, too. But don't you need to get rid of those who know about the kidnaping? The thief who stole the stone is with them. You can catch them all by using the Princess as bait. Two birds with one stone.
Gafgarion: Exactly. But what if...?
Draclav: You are being weak.
[Gafgarion shrugs with one arm.]
Gafgarion: 'Careful' is more like it. You've got to be careful to survive on a battlefield.
Draclav: All right. I'll make sure you're protected. Also, we'll prepare bait just in case.
Gafgarion: Good. The woman will make perfect bait. I'll get rid of them. I'm more reliable than him!
[Rudvich turns to Gafgarion in fury.]
Rudvich: How dare you!
Draclav: Fine. I'll leave it to you.
[Rudvich turns to Draclav, holding up his arms in disbelief.]
Rudvich: Are you serious?
Draclav: Don't let me down, Gafgarion.
[Rudvich sits by watching bot Gafgarion and Draclav talk, his rage building...]
Gafgarion: No problem. I'll even get the stone back!
[Gafgarion calmly exits the room and scene... Rudvich turns again to Draclav in a stunned awe, protesting the Cardinal's decision.]
Rudvich: Why him....?
[Draclav pulls himself up and walks over near Rudvich.]
Draclav: You failed enough. Now you must take responsibility...
Rudvich: W, What....?
[Draclav kills Rudvich... End of scene...]

[Bariaus Valley. A rocky landscape with mossy rocks, and a few assortment of trees. Rain spatters down from the heavens, and lightning/thunder hisses omniously above. The female warrior known as 'Agrias' is on the run, running from someone. Begin scene...]
Man's Voice: Where are you? Don't try to escape!!
[Agrias turns to meet her capturer, a knight of Lionel, dressed in leather gauntlets and boots, chain mail, and a red, flowing cape. She turns to meet him, as she has no where else to run - because the only way to go is through slippery, wet rocks into a rushing current below.]
Lionel Knight: So here you are...
[The knight whistles, and a whole horde of his comrades comes to his aid to help in retrieving the fleeing escapee, Agrias.]
Knight: Give yourself up!
[Ramza's party arrives on the scene...]
Knight: What!?
[Everyone turns to see that Ramza's party has arrived.]
Ramza: I'm protecting Agrias! Geronimo!
[Battle insues...]
[Near the first of battling...]
Agrias: Ramza! Why are you here!?
Ramza: I was going to attack the castle flank to save you. But, why are you here?
Agrias: The Cardinal secretly plotted with Larg from the start! We tried to escape but only the Princess got caught!! I couldn't save her. They're about to execute her. We must hurry!!
Ramza: First, we have to get rid of them somehow...
[Battle reissues...]
[After battle...]
Ramza: Are you all right, Agrias?
Agrias: Yes, I'm all right, but we must hurry! She's going to be executed at the Golgorand Execution Site. Let's hurry!!
Ramza: Yes, let's go!
[End of scene...]

[Golgorand Execution Site. A place infamous for its executions throughout the land of Ivalice. A wooden podium - the 'execution block' - is the main attention of this setting. Inside of it, a figure resembling Princess Ovelia stands, awaiting her execution. A cloaked figure stands before her, while a few knights guard the perimeters - one standing atop the lookout wall, and another at the base of the 'execution block'. A drumming beat pounds steadily in the background, creating tension in the scene {GAME NOTE: Notice how well the musical piece for this setting is portrayed - how it feels and sounds in accordance to the scenario. It's just beautiful}. Begin scene...]
Executioner: Any last words?
[Ovelia remains silent.]
Executioner: No? I see.
Knight of Lionel troop: Huh? The enemy!!
[The guard turns atop the walls, only to see that Ramza's unit has arrived...]
Ramza: That's far enough! Return the Princess, now!
Executioner: Heh, heh, heh..... You fell into a trap!
Ramza: !?
[In a surprising turn of events, the Executioner uncloaks himself, only to reveal that it is Gafgarion - the one who is working with Draclav and Dycedarg! Next, 'Ovelia' decloakes herself to reveal that it was just a normal female archer. More units flood onto the scene, as Ramza and squad are overwhelmed at what's happening.]
Gafgarion: You are still too naive, kid.
Ramza: Where is the Princess!?
Gafgarion:At Lionel Castle. Where's the stone?
Ramza: Stone?
Gafgarion: Stop playing dumb. The stone you stole from the Cardinal. You're with the one who stole it! Just hand it over!
Ramza: If you want it, you'll have to take it!
Gafgarion: Seems you've matured a bit. .....Then, I will!
[Begin battle...]
[Right before battle begins...]
Gafgarion: It's not too late! Let's go back to Igros! Your brother, Dycedarg, said he'd forgive you! Come on, wake up!!
Ramza: No, I won't be involved in any more wrong doing!
Gafgarion: 'Wrong doing'? What do you mean by that? you are a Beoulve! You have a mission to accomplish. 'Wrong doing', indeed! It's your mission! Don't be such a fool!
Ramza: My brothers are making war for personal reasons! What else can you call it other than 'evil'?
Gafgarion: You must make 'sacrifices' to accomplish anything! Without 'sacrifice', there's no progress, no history! Look at Ivalice! Corrupt!! Someone must change it!! Your brothers are trying to do that! Even if it means 'wrong doing'!
[Battle reinstates...]
[A little while later...]
Ramza: But that doesn't mean I should leave her stranded!
Gafgarion: Forget about Ft. Zeakden! It couldn't be helped! You're a Beoulve. You have a given duty! It is your fate!
Ramza: It's fate that let Teta die? No, that's wrong! We killed her out of convenience... Yes, us! I've run from the truth long enough... I killed her...
[Battling starts up again...]
[Agrias speaks up...]
Agrias: Ramza, are you really a Beoulve?
Gafgarion: Didn't you know, Agrias? His name is Ramza Beoulve. One of the Beoulve family.
Ramza: It's true I'm a Beoulve! But I'm not like my brothers! I never knew about kidnapping the Princess! I swear it!
Agrias: No doubt in my mind! I believe you!!
[Battle resumes...]
[Gafgarion speaks up...]
Gafgarion: This is ridiculous! One girl has died - so what? We must first think about 'justice'!
Ramza: There's no 'justice' in using and deceiving people! I can't ignore people dying for 'justice'! I'll save Princess Ovelia!
Gafgarion: Stubborn kid!
[Battle resumes...]
[After a long, hard fight...]
Gafgarion: Damn it! I didn't expect you to be this strong....! Retreat for now!!
[Gafgarion teleports to safety.]
Ramza: We must go to Lionel Castle immediately!!
[End of scene...]

[Inside of a prison cell. It appears to be empty and desolate, but clean, nonetheless. Delita Hyral and Princess Ovelia occupy the scene. Delita stands before the kneeling princess, who sits upon her knees, deep in thought or prayer... beside a plate of food. Begin scene...]
Delita: Aren't you eating? You can't go on without food.
Ovelia: ...
Delita: No one will mourn your death. In fact, it should make most people happy. You won't die. Just eat the food.
[Ovelia looks up at Delita, tears in her stinging eyes...]
Ovelia: I knew you were in with the Cardinal. If you aren't turning me over to Larg, what's your plan?
Delita: Taking you somewhere you belong... that's all.
Ovelia: So, you're using me, too. But you can't make me do whatever you want.
[She turns her head sideways, closing her eyes...]
Delita: You have no other choice if you want to live.
[Ovelia looks back up at him with a worried feature plastered upon her innocent face.]
Ovelia: What's that mean?
Delita: It means.....
[Delita is cut off at the entrance of two individuals. Once of them is Draclav, and another is a mysterious knight. Both men walk up to Delita's side.]
A Knight: So, she is Ovelia...?
[Draclav takes a step toward the Princess.]
Draclav: How are you, Princess? If you'd behaved, you wouldn't be here now.
Knight: Hmm, she's almost too good a substitute for a Princess.
[Silence for a brief moment, as Ovelia quickly glares in astonishment at the Knight, 'Vormav'. Everyone faces Vormav.]
Draclav: Heh, heh... Mr. Vormav, she doesn't know yet.
Vormav: I see..... poor girl.
Ovelia: What are you talking about?
Vormav: Listen carefully. You're not Ovelia.
Ovelia: What.......?
Vormav: The real princess died long ago. You're a substitute.
[Ovelia begins to get increasingly upset as she hears more...]
Ovelia: No, that's a lie!!
Vormav: It's not a lie. You are not Ovelia. Old Senators who didn't care for Princess Luveria, made you.....
[Princess Ovelia slumps over and begins to weep rapidly.]
Vormav: So someday you'd succeed the throne, ousting the Princess. They killed two older Princes making it look like illness, and adopted you as Princess. They all thought Omdolia was too weak to make another son so you took the throne. However, Orinas was born. Even now, no one's sure if the Prince is really his son. Larg may have had "seeds" planted to make his sister the King's mother... In any case, the old men's plan was ruined.
[Princess Ovelia shoots up.]
Ovelia: Liar! I don't believe it!
Vormav: Think what you will. Whether you're a princess or not doesn't matter to us. What matters is that we have an ace up our sleeve called a 'Princess'...
[Ovelia shifts her position, while remaining fixated on Vormav.]
Ovelia: What are you going to do to me? What do you want?
Vormav: Nothing. Just be a 'Princess' as you are now.
Ovelia: My ancestors were Atkaschas! No one can control me!
Vormav: Then what? If Larg catches you, he'll kill you.... right? We just want to help you take the throne...
[Ovelia switches position uncomfortably again.]
Ovelia: Who are you?
Vormav: We're neither allies of Larg nor supporters of Goltana. Just 'collaborators'.
Draclav: Vormav, let her calm down. Once she comes to her senses she won't refuse our help.
Vormav: Yes..... you're right.
[Vormav and Draclav leave the scene, leaving Delita behind. But, Vormav stops before leaving and yells at Delita.]
Vormav: Let's go, Delita!
[Delita reluctantly follows behind Vormav, and shuts the door. Ovelia looks forward... just staring. At what? Nothing... she is too stunned to realize what's going on around her.... End of scene...]

[At the gate of Lionel Castle. The scene starts out as Ramza walks across the top-gate wall of the gates, to open it up for his comrades to get in. Begin scene...]
Ramza: Wait there. I'll open the gate.
[Someone behind Ramza yells out...]
Familiar voice: Not so fast!
[Gafgarion walks onto the scene from behind the gates, looking up at Ramza. Ramza swiftly countermands his body to meet Gafgarions cold stare...]
Gafgarion: You got in all right, but didn't notice an ambush.
[Gafgarion whistles, and the troops flood in from all sides on the other side of the gates, where Ramza's team mates stand Ramza turns to scope out the situation, which doesn't look good by no means.]
Ramza: Damn!!
[Ramza returns his showdown with Gafgarion.]
Gafgarion: Ramza! It's me you must fight with! En garde!!
[En garde he said... begin battle...]
[Once at the lever to raise the gate...]
Ramza: If I push this lever...
[He hits it, raising the gate... Battle starts up again...]
[After battle...]
Gafgarion: Ugnn... is this... the end?
Ramza: Goodbye, Gafgarion........ [Gafgarion falls down, but this time, for eternity... He then dematerializes into an ability/life crystal.]
Ramza: We must save the Princess before reinforcements arrive!
[End of scene...]

[Inside of Lionel Castle. It appears the party has made it to part of a cathedral. A stairway leads up the center of the room, carpeted with a crimson rug up it. Candles burn vigorously on both the left and right sides of the room. Up at the top of the room, Cardinal Draclav stands, before some kind of table or alter, and a huge wooden cross/tomb behind him. This does not look good... Begin scene...]
Draclav: Gafgarion is not as good as he says... Or was it bad luck? Anyhow, you're good. You have Beoulve blood in your veins. Even if you are a bastard.
[Draclav walks down from the very top part of the room, and proceeds to the middle stairway, and stops before Ramza and party.]
Draclav: But, I don't need your interference any more. Leave the stone here. If you resist, I'll show no mercy...
Ramza: Where is Pincess Ovelia?
Draclav: Why must you save her? You deserted the Beoulves. What can you change by yourself? Don't waste energy. Without power, nothing can be achieved... You're powerless.
Ramza: Where's the Princess!!
Draclav: She's not here. She left for Zeltannia. She chose our help over yours.
Ramza: That's a lie!!
Draclav: She has begun to think for herself. She felt unsure of you and chose us for obvious reasons to take the throne. Why don't you join us? You want to get the best of your brothers sails, right? We care about the world, too. How about it?
Ramza: I don't want to change the world! I just can't allow people to suffer and die because of some elitist's ideas. Change the world? You think anyone really can? I'm not that reckless!!
Draclav: Ha, ha, ha... You're the one holding the stone. You can change not only the world, but the truth of everything with its power. Since you don't seem to understand, let me show you.
[Draclav pulls out his stone, and something weird begins to happen. In a brilliant flash of pure energy that lasts awhile - both dark and light - Draclav takes the form and powers of another being - a being both bigger and more powerful than himself before. A being called 'Tainted King Queklain'. Resembling a zombie/mummy, Queklain is a round, fat demon with rippling skin. Down the center of his abdomen is split, and held together by large stitches... Ramza and party may be in trouble...]
Tainted King, Queklain: Hya, ha, ha! How about that? Surprised? Now, let me have my fun. Let me hear your screams, and suffering death cries!
[Begin battle...]
[After battle...]
Queklain: I'm immortal... how can I be losing...? It's impossible. I can't... die... until he resurrects...
[Queklain explodes in a massive burst of energy, leaving the red gem behind. The gem hovers a bit, and flashes, then falls silently to the ground... End of scene...]

[Inside of Zeltannia castle. Delita, wearing his gold armor, walks forthward, and kneels before the one known as 'Goltana', one of the two princes involved in the major war - the two 'apparent' big players in the whole thing. In the same room stands four others besides Delita and Goltana, but we don't know who they are. Begin scene...]
Goltana: It's you... who saved Ovelia.
Delita: Delita - Black Sheep Knight under Baron Grims, and Hyral. I was sent by order of Baron Grims to save the princess. I've returned - Mission completed.
[The white haired, coated man on Delita's left speaks up.]
Minister Gelwan: .....Hyral? Never heard of him.
Goltana: The Baron died in battle last month with Ryomoku. The Black Sheep were entirely wiped out.
Delita: That's why I returned.
Goltana: How's the Princess?
[The man standing beside Minister Gelwan speaks up.]
Kanbahrif: Sleeping soundly. She's exhausted from the long trip.
[Next, on Delita's right side, a man cloacked in brown, has something to say.]
Orlandu: I heard you brought a prisoner?
[Delita stands up, and looks behind him.]
Delita: Yes, sir. Bring him!
[A young squire is lead by a knight, arms bound behind him. He stops, then kneels before Goltana.]
Delita: Why did you kidnap the Princess?
Prisoner: We framed Goltana to prevent him from Lesalia, ...taking the regency.
Delita: Who gave you the order? Prince Larg?
Prisoner: One of Goltana's aids who wants to join Larg.
[Gelwan runs up to the prisoner.]
Gelwan: Ridiculous! No aids would do that! Silence this lout!
Goltana: No need. Listen.
Delita: Who is that?
[The prisoner looks to the floor.]
Prisoner: .......
Delita: Talk! Now!
Prisoner: Will you save my life?
Delita: All right, I promise. Who is it!!?
[The prisoner pauses for a moment, then looks up at Gelwan.]
Prisoner: Him... Minister Gelwan.
[Gelwan moves closer, screaming at the prisoner.]
Gelwan: How dare you! It's a lie! I don't even know you!
[Delita turns to Gelwan.]
Delita: Who seduced you? The Queen?
[Gelwan answers almost instantly.]
Gelwan: That's absurd! I don't know anything!
Delita: Treason's a serious crime, Minister!
[Delita unsheathes his sword and hold it to his side. Everyone around him backs up...]
Gelwan: I said I don't know a thing!
[Delita holds his sword up in preparation of the kill, then swiftly strikes Gelwan across the back of the neck as he turns to run. The Minister lets out a painful howl, and a grimace of pure pain errupts upon his face before falling lifelessly to the floor - killed at the hands of Delita.]
Delita: Let me say this! We must go to the capital with the Nanten now! Or they may hold you responsible for this plot. First, let's remove Orinas and the Queen, then get the Princess on the throne!

Goltana went to Lesalia, and confined Ruvelia in Bethla for kidnapping the Princess, and let the Princess accede to the throne. But Larg insisted Orinas was the legitimate successor and had him accede to the throne. Then Larg became the regent as a guardian. Immediately after, Larg sent the Hokuten led by Orinas to Bethla to rescue the Queen. Meanwhile, Goltana sent the Nanten let by Ovelia... This is the beginning of the upheaveal which would later be called the 'Lion War'...
