Rainbow Six 3 Goes Gold
March 3, 2004

San Francisco, CA - March 3, 2004 - Ubisoft, one of the world's largest video game publishers, announced today that Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six 3 for PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system has reached gold master status and is expected to arrive on store shelves on March 23rd.  Developed by Ubisoft's Shanghai studio, the game offers the most thrilling and realistic single- and multiplayer counter-terrorist experience available anywhere.

Completely redesigned for next-gen consoles, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six 3 for the PlayStation 2 gives players the opportunity to command an elite, four-man international anti-terrorist squad and features the trademark realism of the Clancy games: immediate, immersive close-quarters action, state-of-the-art in-game cinematics, Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell®-quality graphics and a nail-biting plot ripped from today's headlines. A voice-activated command system and comprehensive offline and online multiplayer capabilities round out the most exciting experience PlayStation 2 gamers will have this year.

"With an exclusive split-screen co-op mode and brand new single- and multi-player levels, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six 3 is ready to dominate the PlayStation 2; the first console version in the Rainbow Six franchise remains one of the all-time top-ten action sellers for the original PlayStation, and we expect a repeat performance," said Tony Kee, vice president of marketing for Ubisoft. "Ubisoft Shanghai has once again proven their prowess developing for the PlayStation 2, combining unbelievable graphics with thrilling and realistic single- and multiplayer gameplay, intelligent AI, and an amazing real-time voice-command system.  Simply put, they've delivered the best counter-terrorist gaming experience on the market."
