Sony has revealed an all new PS2 model, and it's definitely a looker.  The unit is much smaller than the original.  Internal volume has been reduced by 75%, the weight has been cut in half, and its overall thickness is 2.8cm (5cm less than the current model).

The biggest change however is that the Ethernet and modem ports are now integrated, eliminating the need for the network adapter.  This is not a surprise, given the recent PS2/adapter bundle and Sony's online push.  Unfortunately, this model will NOT be compatible with the HDD.

The new unit is expected to ship on October 14th.  It'll still retail for $149.99.
